Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, India’s No. 1 ranked Fisheries University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL in the delegation event held at the Royal Thai Consulate General, Chennai on 05.10.18. Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL is world’s leading listed agro-industrial and food conglomerates which operates in more than 16 countries covering over 4 billion population around the world. The company manufactures feed in both livestock and aquaculture business. Dr. S. Felix, Vice Chancellor, TNJFU signed the MoU in the Presence of Dr. G. Jeyasekaran, Director of Research, Jittima Nakamano, Consul, Director of Thai Trade Centre, Pakvipa Ahviphan, Deputy-Consul General and officials from CPF Talerngkiat Supasin, HR Manager and Wichit Tanesanurak, President. A meeting was convened with the officials of company. The MoU facilitates students and faculty exchange and collaborative research activity in the field of Fisheries Science between the two institutions. The understanding will also broadly cover certain specific identified areas of cooperation. Prof. S. Felix, Vice Chancellor played a significant role in bringing this MoU to the University.
