Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalaithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) conducted a National Workshop on Chola Aqua’18- Scientific and Societal Challenges in Industrial Aquaculture at the University Headquarters on 25.09.2018. During that occasion, an MoU was signed by the Director of Research, Prof. G. Jeyasekarn for TNJFU, and Dr. S. Mohanraj, Managing Director for AlgalR NutraPharms Pvt. Ltd., Thanjavur in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S. Felix. Since AlgalR NutraPharms Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 22000:2005 certified company with DSIR approved laboratory, engaged in the manufacture of vegetarian source of omega-3 fatty acids (Veg.DHA) from microalgae, using its Patented technology, for human and animal nutrition as well as in the manufacture of feed supplements for promoting growth and resistance to disease in shrimp. The MoU shall benefit our students, researchers and faculty members to have industrial exposure and joint research programmes.
