College of Fisheries Engineering, Tamil Nadu Fisheries University, Nagapattinam observed National Integration Day on 19th November 2023. National Integration Day in India is celebrated every year on 19 November, as it is also one of the most important social events. The purpose behind celebrating this day is to preserve in the minds of the people, the beauty of unity in diversity in the social and cultural rich country.
Dr. Mohammad Tanveer , Dean i/c of the College preside the event. National Integration Day is observed to honor on the birth anniversary of India’s first woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Falling on 19th November. This message of preserving unity and integrity of Indian citizens, regardless of their cast, colour, language, religion and societal status. In the presence of Dean i/c, teaching, non-teaching and students took the National Integration Day Pledge. More than 150 persons including faculty members, students, and non-teaching staff were participated in this event. The event was co-ordinate by Dr.M.Ramar, NSS, UBA and RRC Co-ordinator and Er. P. Muthukrishnan, NSS and RRC Co-ordinator of CoFE.
