The College of Fisheries Engineering, Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam observed “Vigilance Awareness Week-2023” on the theme of “Say no to corruption: commit to the Nation” at seminar hall of College premises on 31.10.2023. A warm welcome address was given by Mr.S.Hemnath, Pre final year of B.Tech (Fisheries Engineering). Dr.Mohammad Tanveer, Dean i/c of CoFE preside the event. In his speech, he listed out the issues pertaining to corruption and highlighted the power and responsibilities of young people to prevent corruption.
The Chief Guest address was delivered by Tr.E.Balakrishnan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nagapattinam Sub Division, Nagapattinam District. A mind blowing speech about corruption and motivates the students to be vigilant. On this day various competitions such as essay writing, poetry, drawing and speech were conducted and the certificates were distributed to the winners. Distribute the prize for the position holders in different events by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nagapattinam. Finally S. Noorulameen, pre final year of B.Tech (Fisheries Engineering) proposed the vote of thanks and concluded the event. The event was organised by NSS, UBA & RRC co-ordinators of Dr.M.Ramar, Assistant Professor, Vice-President of Students Association Er.S.Monikandon, Assistant Professor and NSS Staff member of Er.P.Muthukrishnan, Assistant Professor(C), CoFE.
