"Harnessing the Science of Fisheries for Food, Nutrition and Livelihood"
Dr. N. Felix, the Vice-Chancellor of TNJFU, paid a visit to the Directorate of Incubation and Vocational Training in Aquaculture (DIVA) on April 6, 2024. During his visit, he discussed with Ms. C. Mohana Rekka, Managing Director of CMR Feeds Pvt Ltd., and the DIVA staff. The focus was on matters such as the release of aqua feed, the design of feed bags with pertinent information and strategies to enhance aqua feed production at the DIVA feed mill in Muttukadu. Following this, the Vice-Chancellor visited the aqua feed mill, examining the operations of the extruder and pelletizer. During his visit, he also distributed 60 kg of carp feed to fish farmer, G. Bose from Uthira Merur in Kanchipuram district. Subsequently, Dr. Felix inspected the ongoing USAID-funded project by Cargill Pvt Ltd. in the Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS) unit of DIVA, accompanied by Dr. K. Ravaneswaran, Director (i/c).
