Report of the webinar on “Recent Advanced Technologies in fishing methods” conducted by DIVF, Ramanathapuram on 5thAugust 2021 with the financial assistance of NFDB, Hyderabad

With the financial assistance of National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) Hyderabad, Webinar entitled “Recent Advanced Technologies in Fishing methods” was jointly organized by DIVF, Ramanathapuram and Reliance foundation . The webinar was conducted on 05.08.2021 covering fishermen from Villupuram and Kanchipuram of Tamil Nadu and Pondichery. A total of 75 fishermen from different fishing villages such as Marakkanam and Vanur of Villupuram district, Tirukalukundram and Cheyyur of Kanchipuram district and Ariyankuppam, Vambakirapalayam, Ozhukarai and Kanachettikulam of Pondicherry.
The webinar was convened by Dr.N.Neethiselvan, Director. Mr.M.Kalaiarasan, Assistant professor and Er.R.Regupathi, Assistant Professor of DIVF served as organizing secretaries. The following lectures were delivered.
