Report of the webinars on “Recent Advanced Technologies in fishing methods” conducted by DIVF, Ramanathapuram on 23rd & 30th July 2021 with the financial assistance of NFDB, Hyderabad

With the financial assistance of National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) Hyderabad, two Webinars entitled “Recent Advanced Technologies in Fishing methods” were jointly organized by DIVF, Ramanathapuram and Reliance foundation – Chenkalpattu zone on 23.07.2021 and 30.07.2021.
The participants of the webinar on 23.07.2021 included a total of 35 fishermen from Chenkalpattu, Viluppuram district of Tamil Nadu and Pondichery.
The participants of the webinar on 30.07.2021 included a total of 90 fishermen from fishing villages such as Pamban, Thangachimadam, Vedalai, Thiruppalaikudi, Thondi, Erwadi and Chinna Erwadi of Ramanathapuram District, Tharuvaikkulam, Vembar and Keelavaipar of Thoothukudi District, Boompuhar of Mayiladudurai District, Puthukuppam of Pondichery.
The webinar was convened by Dr.N.Neethiselvan, Director. Further, Mr.Kalaiarasan, Assistant professor and Er.R.Regupathi, Assistant Professor of DIVF served as Organizing secretaries. The following lectures were delivered.
