The Directorate of Incubation and Vocational Training in Fisheries (DIVF), Ramanathapuram one of the Constituent units of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jeyalalithaa Fisheries University is organizing a One Week Training Programme on “Deep Sea Fishing Techniques” from 22.11.2023 to 29.11.2023 with the funding of Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), Chennai. A total of 20 fishermen from Rameswaram are participating in the training program. The inaugural function was conducted at DIVF, Ramanathapuram on 22.11.2023. The District Collector of Ramanathapuram, Mr. B. Vishnu Chandran, I.A.S., served as chief guest. In his chief guest address, he emphasized the need for issuing licenses for boat drivers who are operating Mechanized fishing vessels along the coast of Ramanathapuram district. He appreciated the joint effort being taken by DIVF and TNSDC to conduct a training program for the fishermen of Rameswaram to make them eligible to apply for a boat driver license to be issued by the Department of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare. The Assistant Director of Rameswaram in his felicitation address stated that the training would not only be useful for livelihood upgradation of fishermen through Deep Sea fishing but also will be of great use in reducing fishing pressure in the coastal waters. Mr. V. Kumarevel, Assistant Director of TNSDC, Ramanathapuram stressed the need for the fishermen to undergo a training program on Deep Sea fishing technology to improve their technical skills besides making the fishing voyage safe. Mr.Gopinath, Assistant Director of Fisheries, Ramanathapuram North, stated that the trainees would benefit from the maintenance of their boat engines.Dr.N. Neethiselvan, Director i/c., DIVF, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he stated the training would allow getting a boat driver's license besides engaging in deep sea fishing. Er. M. Sivasudalaimani, DIVF delivered a Vote of thanks. Capt.A. Sakayarex along with staff and students had organized the function.
தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஒரு அங்கமான மீன்வளத் தொழில் காப்பகம் மற்றும் தொழில்சார் பயிற்சி இயக்குனரகம் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு திறன்மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகம், இராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டம் இணைந்து நடத்தும் ‘’ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடித் தொழில்நுட்பம்” பற்றிய ஒரு வாரகால உள்வளாகப் பயிற்சியின் துவக்க விழாவானது 22.11.2023 அன்று நடைபெற்றது. பயிற்சியின் ஒருங்கினைப்பாளர் திரு. மு. கலையரசன், உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் வரவேற்புரை மற்றும் பயிற்சி விளக்க உரை நிகழ்த்தினார். பயிற்சியில் இராமேஸ்வரம் பகுதியைச் சார்ந்த 20 மீனவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். மாவட்ட ஆட்சியர் உயர்திரு.பா. விஷ்ணு சந்திரன் (இ.ஆ.ப) அவர்கள் நிகழ்ச்சியின் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகக் கலந்து கொண்டார். அவர் தமது சிறப்புரையில் மீனவர்கள் படகு ஓட்டுநர் உரிமம் பெற வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தை வலியுறுத்தினார். மீன்வளத் தொழில் காப்பகம் மற்றும் தொழில்சார் பயிற்சி இயக்குனரகமும் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு திறன் மேம்பாட்டு கழகமும் இணைந்து சரியான தருணத்தில் இப்பயிற்சியைக் கொடுக்க இருப்பது பாராட்டக்குறியது என தெரிவித்தார். திரு.வ. அப்துல் காதர் ஜெயிலானி, உதவி இயக்குநர், மீன்வளம் மற்றும் மீனவர் நலத்துறை, இராமேஸ்வரம் அவர்கள் தனது வாழ்த்துரையில் ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடிப்பால் மீனவர்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தை உயர்த்துவதோடு ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடிப்பை அதிகரிக்கலாம் எனவும், கடலோர அதிமீன்பிடிப்பைக் குறைக்கலாம் எனவும் கூறினார். திரு.வெ. குமரவேல், உதவி இயக்குநர், தமிழ்நாடு திறன் மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகம், இராமநாதபுரம், அவர்கள் மீனவர்கள் இதுபோன்ற பயிற்சிகளில் கலந்து கொண்டு தங்களது திறமைகளை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்றும் அதன் மூலம் பாதுகாப்பான ஆழ்கடல் மீன்பிடிப்பு அமையும் என்றும் கூறினார். உதவி இயக்குநர் திரு.கோபிநாத் அவர்கள் தனது வாழ்த்துரையில் படகு எஞ்ஜினின் பராமரிப்பின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை பற்றியும் மற்றும் மீனவர்கள் இப்பயிற்சியின் மூலம் பயன் அடைவார்கள் என்று எடுத்துக் கூறினார். முனைவர்.நீ. நீதிச்செல்வன், இயக்குநர், மீன்வளத் தொழில்காப்பகம் மற்றும் தொழில்சார் பயிற்சி இயக்குனரகம், அவர்கள் விழாவிற்கு தலைமை தாங்கினார். தமது தலைமையுரையில் இந்தப் பயிற்சியானது மீனவர்களுக்கு ஓட்டுனர் உரிமம் பெறுவதற்கு ஒரு வாய்ப்பாக அமையும் என்றும் ஆழ்கடல் மீன்வளத்தினை மீனவர்கள் சரியான முறையில் பாதுகாப்புடன் மீன்பிடிக்க உதவும் என்றும் குறிப்பிட்டார். திரு.மா. சிவசுடலைமணி, தானியங்கி பொறியாளர் அவர்கள் நன்றியுரை வழங்கினார். கேப்டன் திரு. சகாயரெக்ஸ் அவர்கள் இயக்குனரக ஊழியர்களுடன் இணைந்து விழா ஏற்பாட்டை செய்தார். மாணவி சி.கிருத்திகா நிகழ்ச்சியை தெகுத்து வழங்கினார்.
