The Directorate of Incubation and Vocational Training in Fisheries (DIVF), Ramanathapuram one of the Constituent units of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University has organized ten days training program on “Gill Net Designing, Assembling and Mending” from 12.08.2024 to 23.08.2024 with the funding of Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), Chennai. A total of 20 fisherwomen from Rameswaram and Mandapam have participated in the training program. The Valedictory function was conducted at the DIVF, Ramanathapuram on 23.08.2024. Mr. M. Kalaiarasan, Assistant Professor, DIVF, gathered the welcome address. Dr. N. Neethiselvan, Director, DIVF, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he emphasized that gill net designing, assembling, and mending training for fisherwomen should become a profitable business for them. Mr. M. Sivakumar, Assistant Director, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Mandapam, in his felicitation address, emphasized that the role of women in the development of the fishing industry is essential. This training will help in the economic development of fisherwomen and also elaborate on the schemes brought by the central and state governments for the development of fisherwomen. Er. M. Sivasudalaimani, Automobile Engineer, delivered the vote of thanks. The training program included various aspects related to making knots, splicing of ropes, braiding of webbing, tailoring of webbing, mounting, joining, mending of webbing, braining of selvedge, designing and assembling various types of gill nets. The staff and students had organized the function.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகம் ஒரு அங்கமான மீன்வளத் தொழில் காப்பகம் மற்றும் தொழில்சார் பயிற்சி இயக்குனரகம் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு திறந்தமேம்பாட்டுக் கழகம், இராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டம் இணைந்து நடத்திய ”செவுள் வலை விடிவமைத்தல், பின்னல் மற்றும் சீர் செய்தல்” என்ற பத்து நாள் உள்வளாகப் பயிற்சியானது 12.08.2024 முதல் 23.08.2024 வரை நடைபெற்றது. பயிற்சியில் இராமேஸ்வரம் மற்றும் மண்டபம் பகுதியைச் சார்ந்த 20 மீனவ பெண்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.பயிற்சியின் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் திரு. மு. கலையரசன், உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் வரவேற்புரை நிகழ்த்தினார். முனைவர் நீ.நீதீச்செல்வன், இயக்குநர் அவர்கள் தலைமையுரை ஆற்றினார். அவர் தமது தலைமையுரையில் மீனவ பெண்களுக்கான செவுள் வலை வடிவமைத்தல், பின்னல் மற்றும் சீர் செய்தல் பயிற்சியானது எதிர்காலத்தில் தங்களுக்கு வருமானம் ஈட்டக் கூடிய தொழிலாக மாற வேண்டும் என்று எடுத்துரைத்தார். திரு. மா. சிவக்குமார், உதவி இயக்குநர், மீன்வளம் மற்றும் மீனவர் நலத்துறை, மண்டபம் அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். அவர் தமது வாழ்த்துரையில் மீன்பிடித் தொழில் வளர்ச்சி பெண்களின் பங்கு இன்றியமையாது என்றும் மேலும் இப்பயிற்சியானது மீனவ பெண்களின் பொருளாதார மேம்பாட்ற்க்கு உதவும் என்றும் எடுத்துரைத்தார். அவர் தமது வாழ்த்துரையில் மீனவ பெண்களின் மேம்பாட்ற்க்கு மத்திய மற்றும் மாநில அரசுகள் கொண்டு வந்த திட்டங்களை விரிவாக எடுத்துரைத்தார். திரு. மா. சிவசுடலைமணி, தானியங்கி பொறியாளர் அவர்கள் நன்றியுரை வழங்கினார். மேலும், இந்த ஒரு வாரகால உள்வளாகப் பயிற்சியிலன் போது மீன்பிடி வலைகளின் வகைகள் மற்றும் மீன்பிடி வலைகலை தயாரிக்க பயன்படுத்தப்படும் நூல்களின் வகைகள், மீன்பிடிப்பில் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் முடிச்சுகள், மீன்பிடிப்பில் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் முடிச்சுகள், கயிறு குத்துதலின் செய்முறை விளக்கம், மீன்பிடி வலை பின்னுதல், மடகு பின்னுதல், வலை துண்டு வெட்டும் முறைகள், வலை துண்டுகளை இணைந்து தொகுத்தல், வலை துண்டுகளை இணைந்து தொகுத்தல், வலை துண்டுகளை இணைந்து தொகுத்தல், வலை கண்ணி சீரமைப்பு, வலை தொகுப்பு முறைகள், வலை பதாகுப்பு முறைகள், தொங்கு குணகம், மீனவர்களுக்கான மானிய திட்டங்கள், செவுள் வலைப் பின்னுதல் ஆகிய தலைப்புகளில் பயிற்சிகள் மீனவ பெண்களுக்கு பயன்தரும் வலைகயில் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
