The Directorate of Incubation and Vocational Training in Fisheries (DIVF), Ramanathapuram one of the Constituent units of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University is organizing ten days Training Program on “Gill Net Designing, Assembling and Mending” from 26.12.2024 to 03.01.2025 with the funding of Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), Chennai. A total of 10 fisherwomen from Mandapam and Rameshwaram participated in the training program. The inaugural function was conducted at the DIVF, Ramanathapuram on 26.12.2024. Mr. M. Kalaiarasan, Assistant Professor, DIVF, gathered the welcome address. The Deputy Director of Fisheries, Ramanathapuram, Mrs. M. V. Prabhavathy, served as chief guest. In her chief guest address, she highlighted the benefits of gill net designing, assembling and mending training for fisherwomen. She also pointed out that the fisheries department would be supportive in providing loan assistance through the district industry centre to fisherwomen for their business. Mr. M. Sivakumar, Assistant Director of Fisheries, Mandapam delivered the felicitation address. In his felicitation address, he said that the role of women in the development of fishing industry is essential and appreciated the interest of fisherwomen of Ramanathapuram district to participate in this kind of training. He also highlighted that this training will help in the economic development of fisherwomen. Mr.Jayabalan, Training Assistant, TNSDC, Ramanathapuram delivered the felicitation address. He elaborated on the schemes brought by the central and state governments for the development of fisherwomen. He pointed out that in Ramanathapuram district there is a lot of short-term training were conducted and those who participate and get the certificate can get loan assistance from the bank and start a business. Er. M. Sivasudalaimani, Automobile Engineer, delivered the vote of thanks. The staff and students had organized the function.

மீனவப் பெண்களுக்கான செவுள் வலை பயிற்சி தொடக்க விழா தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஒரு அங்கமான மீன்வளத் தொழில் காப்பகம் மற்றும் தொழில்சார் பயிற்சி இயக்குனரகம் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு திறன்மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகம், இராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டம் இணைந்து நடத்தும் ”செவுள் வலை வடிவமைத்தல், பின்னல் மற்றும் சீர் செய்தல்" என்ற ஏழு நாள் உள்வளாகப் பயிற்சியின் துவக்க விழாவானது 26.12.2025 அன்று நடைபெற்றது. பயிற்சியின் ஒருங்கினைப்பாளர் திரு. மு. கலையரசன்,உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் வரவேற்புரை மற்றும் பயிற்சி விளக்க உரை நிகழ்த்தினார். பயிற்சியில் மண்டபம் மற்றும் இராமமேஸ்வரம் பகுதியைச் சார்ந்த 10 மீனவ பெண்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். துணை இயக்குநர், மீன்வளம் மற்றும் மீனவர் நலத்துறை, இராமநாதபுரம், திருமதி. மா. வெ. பிரபாவதி, அவர்கள் நிகழ்ச்சியின் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகக் கலந்து கொண்டார். அவர் தமது சிறப்புரையில் மீனவப் பெண்களுக்கான பெவுள் வலை வடிவமைத்தல், பின்னல் மற்றும் சீர் செய்தல் பயிற்சியின் மூலம் ஏற்படும் நன்மைகளை பற்றி எடுத்துரைத்தார். மேலும் மீனவப் பெண்களுக்கு தொழில் செய்வதற்கு மாவட்டத் தொழில் மையத்தின் மூலம் மானிய முறையில் கடன் உதவி செய்து தருவதற்க்கு மீன்வளத் துறை உறுதுணையாக இருக்கும் என்று எடுத்துரைத்தார். திரு.மா. சிவக்குமார்,உதவி இயக்குநர், மீன்வளம் மற்றும் மீனவர் நலத்துறை, மண்டபம் அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். அவர் தமது வாய்ழ்த்துரையில் மீன்பிடித் தொழில் வளர்ச்சி பெண்களின் பங்கு இன்றியமையாது என்றும் இந்த வகையான பயிற்சியில் கலந்து கொள்வதற்கு இராமநாதபுர மாவட்ட மினவ பெண்கள் ஆர்வமாக இருப்பதை பாரட்டினார். மேலும் இப்பயிற்சியானது மீனவ பெண்களின் பொருளாதார மேம்பாட்ற்க்கு உதவும் என்றும் எடுத்துரைத்தார். திரு.ஜெயபாலன், பயிற்சி அலுவலர் அவர்கள் தமிழ்நாடு திறன் மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகம்,இராமநாதபுரம் அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினர். மீனவப் பெண்களின் மேம்பாட்டிற்கு மத்திய மற்றும் மாநில அரசுகள் கொண்டு வந்த திட்டங்களை விரிவாக எடுத்துரைத்தார். இராமநாதபுர மாவட்டத்தில் குருகியக் கால பயிற்சிகள் அதிகம் நடைபெறுகிறது அதில் கலந்து கொண்டு சான்றிதல் பெற்று வைத்திருப்போர் வங்கியின் மூலம் கடன் உதவிப் பெற்றுத் தொழில் தொடங்கலாம் என்று எடுத்துரைத்தார். திரு. மா. சிவசுடலைமணி, தானியங்கி பொறியாளர் அவர்கள் நன்றியுரை வழங்கினார்.
