The Directorate of Incubation and Vocational Training in Fisheries (DIVF), Ramanathapuram, one of the Constituent units of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jeyalalithaa Fisheries University has organized a seven days Training Program on “Boat Driver License Certificate Course” from 03.03.2025 to 10.03.2025 with the funding of Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), Chennai under the Naan Mudhalvan Finishing School scheme. A total of 7 fishermen participated from Ramanathapuram and Pudukkottai districts in the training program. Further, the 7 trainees received licenses from the Department of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Ramanathapuram. The training program included various aspects related to handling of navigational equipment such as GPS, Fish Finder, AIS, VHF, MF, Chart works, Navigational Signals, Rules of roads, Life Saving appliances, On-board training, Navigational Simulator, Care and maintenance of Marine Engines and Gearbox, Lathe and welding works. The scheme investigators and invited subject matter specialists conducted the training program practical demonstrations on Marine Meteorology, first aid at sea, Fire Fighting and Wild Life Act were carried out by a Dean, Tamil Nadu Maritime Academy, Thoothukudi, Doctor, Uchipuli, Fire officer of Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue services, Keelakarai and Principal Scientist, CMFRI, Mandapam respectively. The staff and students had organized the function.

நான் முதல்வன் நிறைவு பள்ளி திட்டத்தில் கீழ் தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான இராமநாதபுரத்தில் செயல்பட்டு வரும் மீன்வளத் தொழில் காப்பகம் மற்றும் தொழில்சார் பயிற்சி இயக்குனரகம் நடத்தும் “படகு ஓட்டுநர் உரிமச் சான்றிதழ் பயிற்சி” என்ற ஒரு வாரகால உள்வளாகப் பயிற்சியானது 03.03.2025 முதல் 10.03.2025 வரை நடைபெற்றது. இப்பயிற்சியில் இராமநாதபுரம் மற்றும் புதுக்கோட்டை மாவட்டத்தைச் சார்ந்த 7 மீனவர்கள் பயிற்சியில் கலந்து கொண்டார்கள். 7 மீனவர்களுக்கு படகு ஓட்டுநர் உரிமமானது மீன்வளம் மற்றும் மீனவர் நலத்துறையால் வழங்கப்பட்டது. மேலும், இந்த ஒரு வாரகால உள்வளாகப் பயிற்சியின் போது கடல்சார் மின்னனுச் சாதனங்களைக் கையாளுதல், உலகளாவிய இருப்பிடம் காட்டி (ஜி.பி.எஸ்) மற்றும் மீன் கண்டுபிடிப்பான்கள் செயல்முறை விளக்கம், மாலுமிக்கலை வரைபடங்கள், மாலுமிக்கலை ஒலிச் சமிக்கைகள் மற்றும் கடற்பயண விதிகள், ஆழ்கடல் மாலுமிக்கலை செயல்முறை விளக்கம், கடைசல் பனிப்பட்டறை இயந்திர செயல்முறை விளக்கம், கடலில் முதலுதவி மற்றும் கடலில் மீனவர் பாதுகாப்பு, ஆழ்கடல் வானிலை, தீயணைப்பு முறைகள் மற்றும் செயல்விளக்கம், கடல் எஞ்சின் பராமரிப்பு செயல்முறை விளக்கம், பாதுகாக்கப்பட்ட நீர்வாழ் உயிரினங்கள், நீர் உயிரின பாதுகாப்புச் சட்ட விளக்கம் ஆகிய தலைப்புகளில் பயிற்சிகள் மீனவர்களுக்கு பயன்தரும் வகையில் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
