Paraprofessional Institute of Fishing Technology (PPIFT) a constituent unit of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University organized an orientation programme on 30.09.2019 for the newly admitted students of B.Voc. in Industrial Fishing Technology (2019-20 batch) of the institute. All the newly admitted students along with their parent/guardian attended the event. Mr.M.Kalaiarasan, Assistant of the institute delivered the welcome address. Dr.S.Athithan, Professor and Head, MCeSA, Seeniappa Dhargha delivered the felicitation address. On behalf of Deputy Director of Fisheries (Regional), Ramanathapuram, Mr.Ajith Stalin, Assistant Director of Fisheries, Mandapam delivered the chief guest address and Dr.G.Sugumar, Director in-charge of the directorate delivered the presidential address and introduced all the faculty of the institute to the students and their parents. The newly admitted students made self-introduction. Mr.M.Kalaiarasan, Assistant Professor, DIVF gave a presentation about the courses and academic rules adhered by the institute. And also Mr.M.Kalaiarasan, Assistant Professor, DIVF & Warden of the Boys hostel explained about the Hostel Rules to the audience. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Mr.A.Muruganatham, Training Associate, NADP scheme. DIVF staff coordinated the arrangements for the programme. All the teaching as well as non-teaching staff of the institute attended the programme.
