PONFIMA’ 18

The inter collegiate cultural competition PONFIMA’18 was organized by FC&RI PONNERI on 23rd March, 2018. A total of 6 colleges participated in the competition namely Madras Veterinary college, Vepperi; Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi; College of Fisheries and Engineering, Nagapattinam; Dr.M.G.R. Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thalaignayeru; College of Food and Dairy technology, Koduvalli; The New college, Chennai. There were about 14 competitive events such as Solo singing, Solo Western /Folk Dance, Ad zap, Mime, Photography, Rangoli, Chart painting, three minutes to shine, Dub smash, Group dance, Quiz, Face painting, Fruit art, Solo classical dance. All the aforesaid events were organized under four categories: MUSIC, DANCE, THEATRE and FINE ARTS. Winners were felicitated by the chief guest of the event Mr. Mohana Sundaram, Additional Director of Fisheries (Marine). First Prize - Overall Rolling trophy was won by Madras Veterinary College, Vepperi. Second and third prize was won by Fisheries college and Research Institute, Thoothukudi and College of Fisheries and Engineering, Nagapattinam respectively. Dr. B.Ahilan, Dean i/c of the institute appreciated the student and staff committee members for successfully organizing the event.
