National level training programme on “Aqua Clinics and Aquapreneurship Development Programme (AC&ADP)” conducted at Dr. M.G.R. FC & RI, Ponneri

Dr. M.G.R. Fisheries College & Research Institute, Ponneri in collaboration with National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management [MANAGE], Hyderabad conducted NFDB funded 28 days (28 January – 24 February 2020) National level training on “Aqua Clinics and Aquapreneurship Development Programme (AC&ADP)”. A total of 30 participants from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala were participated in the training. Faculties of Dr. M.G.R. FC & RI, Ponneri and external experts gave lectures on various aspects of aquaclinics and aquapreneurship development. As a part of field visit, the participants were taken to the institute’s and university’s on and off-campus facilities in and around Chennai, ICAR-CIBA, hatcheries and fish farms. Dr. D. Manikandavelu, Dean i/c distributed the certificates along with the training manual to the participants. Miss. Agnes Daney Angela and Dr. C. Lloyd Chrispin, Assistant Professors of the Department of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics (DFEES) coordinated the training.
