Training on - Ornamental Fish Farming and Breeding Technology

Aquatic Rainbow Technology Park (ARTP) functioning under Dr.MGR FC&RI, Ponneri, TNJFU MVM Campus, Chennai-51 conducted two days training programme on Ornamental Fish Farming and Breeding Technology to farmers on 07.02.2024 and 08.02.2024. This training programme was inaugurated by Dr. Cheryl Antony, Dean i/c, Dr.MGR FC & RI, Ponneri through online. Dr. K. Ravaneswaran, Professor and Project Officer, ARTP welcomed the gathering. A total 37 participants including 1 women attended the training Programme.

Rajiniganth, Farm Manager, ARTP and Mr.P.Ephrem, Ornamental fish entrepreneur delivered lectures on Importance of ornamental fish farming, Important freshwater ornamental fishes, water quality and disease management, Live feed production, Ornamental fish breeding, Formulation of fish feed, Government schemes for ornamental fish farming, farming techniques and marketing analysis. During valedictory function Dr.C.Navaneetha Krishnan, Principal i/c, PPIFT, Madhavaram, Chennai delivered the valedictory address and distributed the certificate to the participants. Few participants delivered the feedback of the training programme. This programme was coordinated by Dr.K.Ravaneswaran, Professor and Project Officer, ARTP, Chennai-51.
