Fisheries College and Research Institute Celebrated Hostel Day 2017-18

The students of the Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi of the Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University celebrated “Hostel Day” on 28.12.2018. Hostel day ceremony was held at the KayalKalaiarangam of the institute in the evening. Mr.D,R.Balan, M.A. Vice President, Tamil Nadu Basketball Association and Managing Partner, V.N.M.A.D. Firm, Thoothukudi was the chief guest of the function. In his address, he recollected the cherished memories at Loyola College hostel and highlighted need to be fit. The students must plan, acquire and strive hard to accomplishtheir goals, he stressed. On the occasion, he also inaugurated the fitness center createdwith necessary fitness tools including multi-gym for the benefit of inmates.

The students were divided into four houses viz. WhiteRockers, Black Panthers, Blue Dragons and Red Rhinos for conducting different competitions. Boys conducted most of the competitions in their hostel, Dolphin House; while girls had their competitions in their hostel, Mermaid Castle. The competitions were held house-wise right from the morning of the day to late evening. Entertaining competitions like Sac race, Arm wrestling, Frog race, Crocodile race, Laughwithout stop, Treasure hunt, Belly boy, Eat-o-mania, Mr. Skeleton, Horse race, Balloon breaking,Dumbsharat, Funny selfie, Lucky corner, Giddy Game, Tug of war and Group dance were held on that occasion.Dr.G.Sugumar, Dean presided over the function.He cherished students’ contribution during this current year and stressed to utilize the given opportunities to mold one’s character and improve their inter-personal skills. He advised the students to be responsible and strive hard to maintain dignity. Dr.P.Jawahar, Warden of the Fisheries College and Research Institute Hostels presented the annual report of the hostels for the year 2018-2019 and highlighted the commitment to provide safe and comfortable stay for the inmates. Mr. V. Vijayarahavan, Deputy Warden of the Boys’ Hostel welcomed the gathering. Prizes were distributed to the winners on the occasion by Mrs and Mr. Balan. On the occasion students’ science magazine, Aquapulse was released. Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by the Deputy Warden of the Girls Hostel, Mrs.T.Umamaheswari. Mr. M. Ranjithkumar, Boys Hostel Secretary and Ms. C. Abisha,Girls Hostel Secretary made all arrangements in connection with the function. The function ended with the delightful dinner arranged by the Mess Secretaries of the boys and girls hostels, Mr. S. Jeyaprakash Sabariand Miss. G. Sathya.

மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் விடுதி நாள் விழா 2017-18

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர். ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக் கழகத்தின் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் 28.12.2018 அன்று விடுதி நாள் விழா கோலாகலமாக கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. தமிழ்நாடு கூடைப் பந்து கழகத்தின் துணைத் தலைவர் மற்றும் தூத்துக்குடி ஏ.N.ஆ.யு.னு. நிறுவன மேலாண்மை இயக்குநர் திரு. னு.சு.பாலன் அவர்கள் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்துகொண்டு விழாவினை சிறப்பித்தார். அவர் தனது உரையில் மாணவர்கள் தங்களின் தனித்திறமைகளை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்றும், உடலை நன்முறையில் பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்ளவேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தையும் விளக்கிக் கூறினார். லயோலாகல்லூரி வாழ்வை நினைவு கூர்ந்த அவர் மாணவர்கள் தங்களின் குறிக்கோளை அடைய திட்டமிடடுதலின் அவசியத்தையும்  தேவையானத குதியை வளர்த்துக்கொண்டு உயர வேண்டும் எனவும் கூறினார். இந்த விழாவில் சிறப்புவிருந்தினர் அவர்கள் இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர், ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் கல்லூரியில் கட்டப்பட்ட உடற்தகுதி (பிட்னெஸ்) மையத்தைத் திறந்து வைத்தார்.

மாணவ - மாணவியர்களை வெள்ளை ராக்கர்ஸ் கருஞ் சிறுத்தைகள் ஊதா டிராகன்ஸ் மற்றும் சிவப்பு ரைனோஸ் என நான்கு அணிகளாகப் பிரித்து பல்வேறு போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. மாணவர்களுக்கான போட்டிகள் டால்பின் விடுதியிலும் மாணவியர்க்களுக்கான போட்டிகள் மெர்மெயிட் விடுதியிலும் நடத்தப்பட்டன. போட்டிகள் 28.12.2018 அன்றுகாலை தொடங்கி மாலை வரை நடத்தப்பட்டன. சாக்குஓட்டம், கை பலப்பரிட்சை, இடைவிடாச் சிரிப்பு, புதையல் வேட்டை, தொப்பைப் பையன், சாப்பாட்டு இராமன், தவளை ஓட்டம், முதலை ஓட்டம், குதிரை ஓட்டம், பலூன் உடைத்தல், அதிர்ஷ்ட மூலை, கயிறு இழுத்தல், குழு நடனம் போன்ற மன மகிழ் போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. நிறைவு விழா மீன்வளக் கல்லூரியின் கயல் கலையரங்கத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் கோ.சுகுமார் அவர்கள் தனது தலைமை உரையில் படிப்பறையில் கற்கும் கல்வியைக் காட்டிலும் மாணவர்கள் தங்களது விடுதிகளில் பெறும் சிறந்த அனுபவத்தின் மூலம் தனித் திறமைகளை மேம்படுத்தலாம் என்றும் கூறினார். மாணவர்கள் கண்ணியம் காக்க பொறுப்புடன் இருப்பதன் அவசியத்தையம் கடினஉழைப்பின் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும் எடுத்துரைத்தார். விடுதிக் காப்பாளர் முனைவர் பா.ஜவஹர் அவர்கள் 2018-2019 ஆம் ஆண்டறிக்கையை வாசித்தார். விடுதியில் மாணவர்கள் வசதியாக மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பாக தங்குவதற்கு எடுக்கப்பட்ட நடவடிக்கைகள் பற்றிவிளக்கினார். மாணவர் விடுதி துணைக் காப்பாளர் திரு. வி. விஜயராகவன் வருகை புரிந்தோரை வரவேற்றார். வெற்றிபெற்றமாணவ-மாணவிகளுக்கு சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் திரு. பாலன் மற்றும் அவரது துணைவியார் கீதா அவர்கள் பரிசுகளை வழங்கி கௌரவித்தனர். விழாவில் மாணவர்களால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டஅறிவியல் சஞ்சிகை அக்வாபல்ஸ் வெளியிடப்பட்டது. நிறைவாக மாணவியர் விடுதிதுணைக் காப்பாளர் திருமதி. உமாமகேஷ்வரி அவர்கள் நன்றி நவின்றார். விழா ஏற்பாடுகளை ஆண்கள் விடுதி மாணவ செயலர் செல்வன் இரஞ்சித் குமார் மற்றும் மாணவியர் விடுதி செயலர் செல்வி அபிஷா ஆகியோர் மிகவும் சிறப்பாகச் செய்திருந்தனர். மாணவ உணவகச் செயலர் திரு. ஜெயப்பிரகாஷ் சபரி மற்றும் மாணவியர் உணவகச் செயலர் செல்வி சத்யா ஆகியோர்களால் சிறப்பாக செய்யப்பட்டிருந்த சிறப்பான இரவு விருந்துக்குப் பிறகு விழா இனிதே நிறைவு பெற்றது.
