Inauguration of Competitive Exam Promotion Cell at the Library and Race Way Unit of FC&RI, Thoothukudi by Respected Vice-Chancellor

The Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi renovated the raceway unit of the Department of Aquaculture. The Raceway is one of the modern techniques adopted to enhance prawn production in the world.  The unit has been developed for the use of students' research, entrepreneurs and farmers demonstration purposes.  Dr. S. Felix, Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University inaugurated the unit on 13.05.2019.

A Competitive Exam Promotion Cell was established in the Library of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi through the ICAR Development Grant.  The above cell will provide guidance and support to the students in preparing competitive examinations such as Indian Council Agricultural Research (ICAR) Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Civil Service, TNPSC, Banking oriented examinations, etc. This cell was inaugurated by the Respected Vice-Chancellor on 13.05.2019.

மீன்வளக் கல்லூரியில் தொடர் நீரோட்ட மீன் வளர்ப்பு தொட்டி மற்றும் போட்டி தேர்வு ஊக்குவிப்பு மையம் இரண்டும் மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழக துணை வேந்தர் அவர்களால் திறக்கப்பட்டது

நீர்வாழ் உயிரின வளர்ப்பானது பலவிதமான முறைகளில் மேற்கொள்ளப்படுகிறது அவற்றுள் தொடர் நீரோட்ட தொட்டிகளில் மீன் வளர்ப்பு எனப்படுவது மீன்வளர்ப்பின் ஓர் மேம்பட்ட முறையாகும். இம்முறை மீன்வளர்ப்பில் நீரானது தொடர் ஓட்ட நிலையில் இருக்குமாறு அமைக்கப்படுகிறது. இதனால் வளர்ப்பு தொட்டியின் நீர் தரமானது நன்கு பாதுகாக்கப்படுகிறது. மேலும் மீன் அதிக வளர்ச்சியினை குறைத்த இடத்தில் அடைகின்றது.  தொடர் நீரோட்ட மீன் வளர்ப்பு தொட்டிகளில் நீரில் கரைந்துள்ள உயிர் வளியானது அதகம் காணப்படுகிறது. இதனால் மீன்களின் வளர்ச்சி விகிதம் மிகுந்து காணப்படுகிறது. தொடர் நீரோட்ட தொட்டிகளை கொண்டு இறால் வளர்ப்பினை அதி தீவிர முறையில் மேற்கொண்டு குறைந்த இடத்தினில் அதிக இறால் உற்பத்தியினை பெறலாம்.  இவ்வகை தொட்டிகள் மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம் தூத்துக்குடியில் மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் தொழில் முனைவோர்களின் செயல் விளக்க முறைக்காக தற்பொழுது புதிதாக அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இத்தொடர் நீரோட்ட மீன்வளர்ப்பு தொட்டியினை மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக் கழகத்தின் துணைவேந்தர் முனைவர் சுக.பெலிக்ஸ் அவர்கள் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.  மேலும் துணைவேந்தர் அவர்கள் மாணவர்களின் பொது அறிவுத்திறனை மேம்படுத்தும் வகையில்  இக்கல்லூரியில் அமைந்துள்ள நூலகத்தில் போட்டி தேர்வு ஊக்குவிப்பு மையம் ஒன்றினையும் திறந்து வைத்தார். இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் ப. வேலாயுதம் அவர்கள் இந்நிகழ்ச்சிகளை ஒருங்கிணைத்தார்.
