Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi Conducted NSS Special Camp at Sethukku Vaithan Village

The NSS unit of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi, a constituent college of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University organized a NSS special camp at Sethukkuvaithan village of Thoothukudi district from 13.02.2020 to 19.02.2020. Fifty five NSS volunteers of 2017-18 B.F.Sc batch of this college turned out to village for this special camp. The one week programme includes thecreation of awareness on Dengue and Tuberculosis, village cleaning, school cleaning, canal deweeding, awareness on ornamental and carp fish farming, training on preparation of various fishery products such as fish ball, fish cutlet, fish momo, fish pickle, awareness on total sanitation and hygiene, eye testing camp, general medical camp, English, Maths, Chemistry tutoring for school students, sports, cultural programmes, etc were conducted

The programme is organized under the able guidance of Dr. B. Sundaramoorthi, Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi. The NSS special camp was formally inaugurated Father Rayappan, who served as Chief Guest. Mr. Mariraj, Village Secretary, S. Vaigai Karayan, Vice-President, Mr. Seenivasan were served as guest of honors. 

Mr.T.Ravikumar, Assistant Professor and NSS Programme Officer, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi coordinated the entire camp. Mr. K. Gopi, Student NSS Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் நாட்டு நலப்பணி திட்டத்தின் கீழ் சேதுக்குவாய்த்தானில் சிறப்பு முகாம் நடைபெற்றது.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் நாட்டு நலப்பணித்திட்டத்தின் கீழ் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள சேதுக்குவாய்த்தான் கிராமத்தில் 13.02.2020 முதல் 19.02.2020 வரை சிறப்பு முகாம் நடைபெற்றது. இந்த சிறப்பு முகாமில் இக்கல்லூரியைச் சேர்ந்த மூன்றாம் ஆண்டு மீன்வள இளங்கலை பயிலும் 55 மாணவ-மாணவிகள்; ஒரு வார காலம் இக்கிராமத்தில தங்கியிருந்து நாட்டு நலப்பணித் திட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர். இந்த ஏழு நாள் சிறப்பு முகாமில் டெங்கு மற்றும் காசநோய் விழிப்புணர்வு பள்ளிக் குழந்தைகளுக்கான ஆங்கில கணித மற்றும் வேதியியல் வகுப்புகள் நடத்துதல் கிராம மற்றும் பள்ளி வளாகங்களை தூய்மை செய்தல் கிராம சுகாதார விழிப்புணர்வு கெண்டை மற்றும் அலங்கார மீன்கள் வளர்ப்பு பயிற்சி மதிப்பூட்டிய மீன் உணவுப்பொருள்கள் தயாரிப்பு பயிற்சி இலவச கண் பரிசோதனை முகாம் பொது மருத்துவ முகாம் மாணவர்களுக்கான விளையாட்டு மற்றும் கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகள் போன்ற பல்வேறு நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. 

இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் முதல்வர் பா. சுந்தரமூர்த்தி அவர்கள் வழிகாட்டுதலின்  படி இம்முகாமானது சிறப்பாக நடத்தப்பட்டது. பங்கு தந்தை ராயப்பன் அவர்கள் தலைமையில் திரு. மாரிராஜ் கிராம செயலாளர் திரு. வைகை கறையான் துணைத்தலைவர் திரு. சீனிவாசன் அவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் இம்முகாமானது தொடங்கப்பட்டது.     

திரு. த.ரவிக்குமார் உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் நாட்டு நலப்பணித் திட்ட அலுவலர் இம்முகாமை ஒருங்கிணைத்தார். நாட்டு நலப்பணித் திட்ட மாணவர் செயலர் செல்வன் மு. கோபி நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார்.
