“Run for Unity” on the 146 th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Fisheries College and Research Institute held on 31.10.2021

Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University organized a Mini Marathon “Run for Unity” on the 146 th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi on 31.10.2021. A total of 80 boys and 52 girls from the constituent colleges of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University took part in the mini marathon. Mr. S. Jeyakumar, Superintendent of Police, Thoothukudi District was flagged off the race, with a 5 km run for boys starting at Maravanmadam bus stop and a 3 km run for girls starting at Korampallam bus stop, with an end point at Fisheries College and Research Institute's Playground. The top three places in the boy's category went to Mr.P.Thileepan (College of Fish Nutrition and Food Technology, Madhavaram), Mr. A. Aashlin Joyel (Paraprofessional Institute of Aquaculture, Muttukadu), and Mr. V. Nithish (College of Fisheries Engineering, Nagapattinam), while the first three places in the girl's category went to Ms. M.P.Snekha (College of Fish Nutrition and Food Technology, Madhavaram), Ms. T.Kalpana (Dr.MGR Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri) and Ms. K. Archana (College of Fish Nutrition and Food Technology, Madhavaram). The Medals and Trophy were presented to the winners by Mr. S. Jeyakumar, Superintendent of Police, Thoothukudi District. In his Chief Guest address, he recalled the enormous efforts of India's Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, in uniting the country's different princely states after independence, and emphasized the need of unity and integrity in taking the country forward. Dr.N.V.Sujathkumar, Dean i/c, presided over the function and congratulated the winners as well as other participants. He pledged the support of all youths in maintaining unity and harmony in order to make India a better place. Capt. S. Viswanathan, Dean, College of Fisheries Nautical Technology was also participated as guest of hanour in the event. Mr. F. Parthiban, the Sports Secretary, welcomed the gathering and Dr. D. Natarajan, Assistant Director of Physical Education proposed the vote of thanks. As part of this programme, all the staff and students were administered the pledge on the observance of “National Unity Day” by the coordination of NSS unit of this institute.

சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேலின் 146வது பிறந்த நாளை முன்னிட்டு 31.10.2021 அன்றுரூபவ் தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக் கழகத்தின் சார்பில் மாணவ மாணவிகளுக்கான மினி மராத்தான் போட்டி ‘ஓற்றுமைக்கான ஓட்டம்’ என்ற பெயரில் மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம் நடத்தியது. இதில் பல்கலைகழகத்திலுள்ள 8 கல்லூரிகளிலிருந்து மொத்தம் 80 மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் 52 மாணவிகள் பங்கு பெற்றனர். இப்போட்டியை தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட காவல்துறை கண்காணிப்பாளர் திரு. எஸ். ஜெயகுமார் அவர்கள் கொடியசைத்து தொடங்கி வைத்தார். மாணவர்களுக்கான 5 கி.மீ ஓட்டப்பந்தயம் மரவன்மடம் பேருந்து நிறுத்ததிலிருந்தும் மாணவிகளுக்கான 3 கி.மீ ஓட்டப்பந்தயம் கோரம்பள்ளம் பேருந்து நிறுத்ததிலிருந்து; தொடங்கி மீன்வளக்கல்லூரியின் விளையாட்டு மைதானத்தில நிறைவுற்றது. இப்போட்டியில் மாணவர் பிரிவில் முதல் பரிசு செல்வன். பொ. திலிபன் (மீன் ஊட்டச்சத்து மற்றும் உணவு தொழில்நுட்ப கல்லூரிரூபவ் மாதவரம்)ரூபவ் இரண்டாம் பரிசு அ.அஸ்லின் ஜோயல் (மீன்வளர்ப்பு தொழில்சார் கல்லூரிரூபவ் முட்டுக்காடு)ரூபவ் முன்றாம் பரிசு வி.நித்திஸ் (மீன்வள பொறியியல் கல்லூரிரூபவ் நாகப்பட்டினம்) மற்றும் மாணவியர் பிரிவில் முதல் பரிசு செல்வி ம.ப. சிநேகா (மீன் ஊட்டச்சத்து மற்றும் உணவு தொழில்நுட்ப கல்லூரிரூபவ் மாதவரம்)ரூபவ் இரண்டாம் பரிசு செல்வி டி. கல்பனா (டாக்டர் எம்.ஜி.ஆர். மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம்ரூபவ் பொன்னேரி) மற்றும் முன்றாம் பரிசு கா.அர்ச்சனா (மீன் ஊட்டச்சத்து மற்றும் உணவு தொழில்நுட்ப கல்லூரிரூபவ் மாதவரம்) வெற்றி பெற்றனர். வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவரூபவ் மாணவிகளுக்கு தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட காவல்துறை கண்காணிப்பாளர் திரு. எஸ். ஜெயகுமார்; அவர்கள் பரிசு கோப்பை மற்றும் சான்றிதழ் வழங்கினார். மேலும் அவர் தமது உரையில்ரூபவ் சுதந்திரத்திற்கு பின்பு காணப்பட்ட பல சிறிய ராஜ்ஜியங்களை ஒன்றுபட்ட இந்தியாவாக மாற்றுவதற்கு இரும்பு மனிதரான சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேலின் உழைப்பை நினைவுகூர்ந்தார். ஒற்றுமை மற்றும் நல்லிணக்கம் மூலமாக நல்லதொரு இந்தியாவை உருவாக்கலாம் என்றும் உரையில் கூறினார். முனைவர் ந.வ.சுஜாத்குமார் முதல்வர் (பொ) அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை நிகழ்த்தி வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு வாழ்த்து தெரிவித்தாh.; அவரது உரையில் இளைய சமுதாயத்தினரை ஒன்றுபட்ட இந்தியாவை முன்நடத்தி செல்ல உறுதிமொழி ஏற்குமாறு அறிவுறுத்தினார். இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் மீன்வள மாலுமிகலை தொழில்நுட்பக் கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் கேப்டன் விஸ்வநாதன் அவர்கள் விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்பித்தார். இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் விளையாட்டு செயலாளர் திரு. பா.பார்த்திபன் அவர்கள் வரவேற்றார். உதவி உடற்கல்வி இயக்குநர் முனைவர். த. நடராஜன் அவர்கள் நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார். இந்நிகழ்வில் ஒரு பகுதியாகரூபவ் நாட்டு நலப்பணித்திட்டத்தின் சார்பாக “தேசிய ஒற்றுமை நாள்” உறுதிமொழியை அனைத்து மாணவ-மாணவியர் மற்றும் அலுவலர்கள் ஏற்றனர்.
