SOFT-SKILL PROGRAMME AT FISHERIES COLLEGE AND RESEARCH

A one-day special programme on "Entrepreneurship Skill Development" was organised for the III B.F.Sc. students on 11.11.2021 and for the M.F.Sc. and Ph.D. students on 18.11.2021 at the Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi, as part of the common programmes to the students on Thursdays. The trainers were Mr. D. Senthil Kannan, Director, Pearlcity Academy on Leadership and Management Skills (PALMS), Thoothukudi, and Mr. Nelson, Trainer, who conducted a very useful and interactive session on basic methods of improving self-confidence and attitude, entrepreneurship skills and work efficiency to the delight of all participants. These two programmes were presided over by Dr.N.V.Sujathkumar, Dean i/c of the Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi. The programme drew in a total of 64 III year BFSc students and 27 MFSc and Ph.D., scholars. Mrs. D.Manimekalai, Assistant Professor, Department of Aquatic Environment Management and Dr. B. Sivaraman, Assistant Professor, Department of Fish Quality Assurance and Management of this Institute coordinated these two programmes.
