Investiture Ceremony

The Students’ Association of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi for academic the year 2021-2022 was inaugurated on 26 th February 2022 at the Kayal Kalaiarangam. Dr.N.V. Sujathkumar Dean i/c and President of the Students’ Association welcomed all the gatherings. Mr.N.M Mylvahanan, IPS, DIG of Police, Ramanathapuram Range was the Chief Guest and he emphasised the need of maintaining discipline and developing character for life while in college as well as encouraging students to contribute to the society.

Dr.G.Sugumar, Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam presided over the function and in his presidential address he complimented the office bearers for taking up the responsibility and assured them of all the necessary administrative support. He encouraged the students to have a clear objective for themselves, believe in themselves and perform to their full ability in order to benefit the community and themselves. Individuals' true strength, he claims, is not in their independence, but in their interdependence.

The newly elected office bearers of the Students' Association were sworn in by Dr.S.Athithan, Vice-President of the Students' Association.Mr. M. Manikandan took over as General Secretary, Mr.V.Dhivakar as Games Secretary, Mr.E.Sakthivel as Literary Association Secretary, Mr.K.Akashraj as NSS Secretary, Ms.R. Mary Shibana as Editor of Seagull Magazine, Ms.S.Jayapritha as Science Club Secretary and Mr. C. George Rayventh as Joint Secretary.

The installation ceremony was followed by a colourful display of cultural programme by students. Mr. M. Manikandan, General Secretary, Students’ Association proposed the vote of thanks.

மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் 2021 – 2022 ம் ஆண்டுக்கான மாணவர் பேரவை துவக்க விழா பிப்ரவரி 26-ம் தேதி கல்லூரியின் கயல் கலையரங்கத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இக்கல்லூரி முதல்வர் (பொ) மற்றும் மாணவர் சங்கத்தின் தலைவர் முனைவர் ந.வ.சுஜாத்குமார் அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் வரவேற்றார். இவ்விழாவிற்கு ராமநாதபுரம் துணை காவல்துறை தலைமை ஆய்வாளர் திரு.என்.எம். மயில்வாகணன் அவர்கள் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்துகொண்டு சிறப்புரையாற்றினார். அவர் தனது உரையில் மாணவர்கள் தங்களது கல்லூரி காலங்களில் ஒழுக்கம் மற்றும் வாழ்க்கைக்கு தேவையான பண்புகள் மேம்படுத்துவதன் முக்கியத்துவத்தைப் பற்றி எடுத்துரைத்தார். தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் துணைவேந்தர் முனைவர் கோ.சுகுமார் அவர்கள் தலைமையேற்று பொறுப்பேற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு வாழ்த்து தெரிவித்ததோடு நிர்வாகத்தின் முழு ஆதரவு மாணவர்களுக்கு உண்டென்று உறுதியளித்தார்;. மேலும் மாணவர் தம் திறமைகளை புரிந்துக்கொண்டு தெளிவான குறிக்கோளோடு இச்சமுதாயத்திற்கு அவர்கள் தங்களது பங்களிப்பை கொடுக்க வேண்டுமென்று தம் உரையில் கூறினார். மாணவர் சங்கத்தின் துணைத் தலைவர் மற்றும் பேராசிரியர் முனைவர் சா.ஆதித்தன் அவர்கள் மாணவர் சங்கபிரதிநிதிகளுக்கு பதவிப்பிரமாணம் செய்து வைத்து வைத்தார்;. செல்வன் மணிகண்டன் பொதுச்செயலாளராகவும் செல்வன் திவாகர் விளையாட்டுசெயலாளராகவும் செல்வன் சக்திவேல் இலக்கியமன்ற செயலாளராகவும் செல்வன் ஆகாஷ்ராஜ் நாட்டு நலப்பணித்திட்ட செயலாளராகவும் செல்விமேரி ஷிபானா கல்லூரியின் இதழ் ஆசிரியராகவும் செல்வி ஜெயப்பிரித்தா அறிவியல் மன்றசெயலாளராகவும் மற்றும் செல்வன் ஜார்ஜ் ரேவந்த் இணைச்செயலாளராகவும் பதவி ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர். ஆதனை தொடர்ந்து மாணவ-மாணவிகளின் கலைநிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடைபெற்றன. மாணவர் சங்கப் பொதுச் செயலாளர் செல்வன் மணிகண்டன் நன்றியுரை வழங்கினார்.
