Hostel day celebrated at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi

The Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi a constituent college
of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University has celebrated Hostel Day in
Grand Manner on 14.03.2022. The inmates of both Boys and Girls Hostels were divided
into four teams namely, Blue Beast, Black Bulls, Red Ravanas and Green Gangsters.
For girls and boys hostel inmates, outdoor games (cricket, volleyball, throw ball), off-
stage activities (arm wrestling, treasure hunt), fun games (belly boy, Mr. Skeleton, Eat-
O-Mania, etc.) and onstage events (rapper, mimicry, adopt tune, group dance) were
conducted. The Hostel Day celebration took place in the evening.Mr. R. Durairaja,
Deputy Warden of the Boys hostel offered welcome address. Mr. R. Amal Xavier, Joint
Director of Fisheries (Regional) Thoothukudi, was the event's Chief Guest.
Dr. R. Santhakumar, Deani/c, Fisheries College and Research Institute presided over
the function. Dr. R. Santhakumar, Warden, Fisheries College and Research Institute
Hostels presented the Annual Report of hostel for the year 2021-2022.
Mr. E. Tamilarasan, the hostel secretary of the boys’ hostel and Miss.S. Vivitha, the
hostel secretary of the girls’ hostel, were both recognized for their outstanding
contributions. Mr. D. Kuralarasan and Miss B. Deepika, Mess Managers of both
hostels, were also recognised for their support in the hostels. The Chief Guest and
Dean of the College awarded prizes to the winners of all the events. The RedRavanas
team was the overall winner of the hostel day games, while the Blue Beast team was
the runners.Mrs. D. Manimekalai, Deputy Warden of Girls hostel proposed the vote of
thanks.

கலைநிகழ்ச்சி (குழு நடனம்ரூபவ் ரேப் பாடல்கள்ரூபவ் மிமிக்கிரிரூபவ் அடாப்டியுன்) நடைபெற்றன. மாணவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள் 4 அணிகளாக (கருப்பு புல்ஸ்ரூபவ் சிவப்பு ராவணாஸ்ரூபவ் பச்சை கேங்ஸ்டர்ஸ்ரூபவ் நீல பீஸ்ட்) பிரிந்து போட்டிகளில் பங்கேற்றனர்கள். இறுதியில் பல்வேறு போட்டிகளில் வெற்றிப்பெற்றவர்களுக்கு பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன. முதல் பரிசை சிவப்பு ராவணாஸ் அணியினரும் இரண்டாம் பரிசை பச்சை கேங்ஸ்டர்ஸ் அணியினரும் வென்றனர்கள். விடுதிவிழாவிற்கு சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக திரு. சு. அமல் சேவியர் (மீன்வள இணை இயக்குனர் தூத்துக்குடி மண்டலம்) கலந்துகொண்டார் மற்றும் கல்லூரி முதல்வர் (பொறுப்பு) முனைவர் ரா. சாந்தகுமார் விழாவிற்கு தலைமை வகித்தார். விடுதிகாப்பாளர் முனைவர் இரா. சாந்தகுமார்ரூபவ் துணைவிடுதிகாப்பாளர்கள் திரு. ரா. துரைராஜா (ஆண்கள் விடுதி)ரூபவ் திருமதி து. மணிமேகலை (பெண்கள் விடுதி) மற்றும் விடுதிசெயலாளர்கள் திரு. இ. தமிழரசன் (ஆண்கள் விடுதி) செல்வி. எஸ். விவிதா (பெண்கள் விடுதி) மற்றும் உணவு மேலாளர்கள் குரலரசன் (ஆண்கள் விடுதி) பி. தீபிகா (பெண்கள் விடுதி)
