Annual Sports Meet 2023

The Annual Sports Meet 2022-23 of the Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi, a constituent college of Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam was conducted at the college grounds on 28.06.2023. During inaugural function, Dr.N.V.Sujathkumar, Dean in-charge, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukdi took salute of the march past contingents of students in the presence of Dr.F.Parthiban, Sports Secretary and Dr.D.Natarajan, Assistant Director of Physical Education followed by unfurling of the college flag. To enliven the sports event, the Olympic Torch was taken up by the athletes, which was followed by oath taking ceremony by the students. The sports meet was declared open by the Dean of this institute and all students and staff of this institute attended the inaugural function. About 25 athletic events were conducted and more than 300 students actively participated in the track and field events with true spirit of sportsmanship. Event Tug of war and Volleyball for Staff Vs Students and Discuss throw for women staff were also conducted. Vollyball match was conducted between Staff and Students and Staff team won the match.

In the valedictory function, Dr.F.Parthiban, Sports Secretary welcomed the gathering. The Annual Sports Report was presented by Dr.D.Natarajan, Assistant Director of Physical Education. The Chief Guest Shri. S.P.Shunmugam, Inspector of Police, SIPCOT Police Station motivated the student community and emphasized the need of sports to maintain physical fitness, hard work to become success in life. The presidential address was delivered by Dr.N.V.Sujathkumar, Dean i/c, Fisheries College and Research Institute. The prizes and medals were distributed by the Chief Guest. The best march past contingent was won by II B.F.Sc. students. Individual Athletic Championship for Men by Mr.R.Rohan, II B.F.Sc. and for women bagged by Ms.T.Vasika, II B.F.Sc. The overall Championship was won by I B.F.Sc. Students. Mr.K.Vallarasu, Games Secretary proposed the vote of thanks. Dr.D.Natarajan, Assistant Director of Physical Education Co-ordinated the entire sports meet.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் ஆண்டு விளையாட்டு விழா (2022-23)

2021-22ம் ஆண்டிற்கான ஆண்டு விளையாட்டு விழா தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் 28.06.2023 புதன்கிழமை அன்று நடைபெற்றது. இதன் துவக்கவிழாவில் இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் (பொ) முனைவர் ந.வ.சுஜாத்குமார் அவர்கள் தலைமையேற்று கல்லூரி மாணவ-மாணவிகளின் அணிவகுப்பு மரியாதையை முனைவர் பா.பார்த்திபன் விளையாட்டு செயலர் மற்றும் உதவி உடற்கல்வி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் த.நடராஜன் அவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து கல்லூரியின் கொடியை ஏற்றி வைத்தார். கல்லூரியின் தடதள வீரர் மற்றும் விராங்கணைகள் ஒலிம்பிக் தீபத்தை ஏற்றிவைத்து விளையாட்டு உறுதிமொழியை எடுத்துக்;கொண்டனர். 2022-23ம் ஆண்டு விளையாட்டு விழாவினை இக்கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் அவர்கள் துவக்கி வைத்தார். இந்த தொடக்க விளையாட்டு விழாவில் அனைத்து மாணவ-மாணவிகள் பேராசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் அலுவலர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

இதில் 25க்கும் மேற்பட்ட தடகள விளையாட்டு போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டதில் 250க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்கள் உற்சாகமாக கலந்து கொண்டனர். இந்த விழாவில் சிறப்பு விளையாட்டு போட்டியாக ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர்கள் இடையே கயிறு இழுக்கும் போட்டி நடைபெற்றது. இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து ஆசிரியை மற்றும் அலுவலர்களுக்காக வட்டு எறிதல் போட்டி நடத்தப்பட்டது. ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர்கள் இடையே கைப்பந்து போட்டி நடைபெற்றது இதில் ஆசிரியர் அணி வெற்றிபெற்றது. பின்னர் மாலையில் நடைபெற்ற நிறைவு விழாவில் முனைவர் பா.பார்த்திபன் விளையாட்டு செயலர் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை நிகழ்த்தினார். உதவி உடற்கல்வி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் த.நடராஜன் அவர்கள் ஆண்டு விளையாட்டு அறிக்கையை சமர்ப்பித்தார். இவ்விழாவின் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் திரு. செ.பெ.சண்முகம் காவல்துறை ஆய்வாளர் சிப்காட் காவல்நிலையம்; அவர்கள் அவர்கள் தனது உரையில் மாணவ-மாணவிகளை ஊக்கப்படுத்தி தங்களின் உடல் திறமைகளை பேணிக் காக்க வேண்டும் எனவும் கடின உழைப்பின் மூலம் வாழ்க்கையில் உயரலாம் எனவும் கூறினார். பின்னர் கல்லூரியின் முதல்வர் (பொ) முனைவர் ந.வ.சுஜாத்குமார் அவர்கள் தலைமையுரை ஆற்றினார். இறுதியில் விளையாட்டு போட்டியில் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களுக்கு பரிசுகளும; பதக்கங்களும் கோப்பைகளும் மற்றும் சான்றிதழ்களும் வழங்கப்பட்டன. இவ்விளையாட்டு விழாவில் சிறந்த அணி வகுப்புக்கான பரிசை இளங்கலை மீன்வள அறிவியல் 2ம் ஆண்டு மாணவர்கள் தட்டிச் சென்றனர். தடகள போட்டியில் ஆண்களுக்கான தனிநபர் சேம்பியன்ஷிப் 2ம் ஆண்டு மாணவர்; ஆர். ரோகன் மற்றும் பெண்களுக்கான தனிநபர் சேம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் டி. வசிகா தட்டிச்சென்றார். ஒட்டு மொத்த சேம்பியன் பட்டத்தை இளங்கலை மீன்வள அறிவியல் முதலாம் ஆண்டு மாணவர்கள் பெற்று சாதனை படைத்தனர். முடிவில் மாணவர் சங்க விளையாட்டுச் செயலர் கே. வல்லரசு நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார். இந்த 2022- 23ம் ஆண்டு விளையாட்டு விழாவிற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை உதவி உடற்கல்வி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் த. நடராஜன் அவர்கள் சிறப்பாக செய்து இருந்தார்.
