Investiture Ceremony at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi

The Students’ Association of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi for the year 2018-19 was inaugurated on 12 th October 2018 at the Kayal Kalaiarangam. Shri. R. Prakash, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thoothukudi Town was the Chief Guest. He spoke on the importance of discipline and building character for life while at college and urged students to contribute to the society.

Dr.G.Sugumar, Dean and President of the Students’ Association presided over the function and in his presidential address, he congratulated the office bearers for taking up the responsibility and assured of the administrative support. He urged the students to set clear goal, believe in themselves and perform to their potential to serve the community and to themselves. The real strength of individuals lies not in independence but in interdependence he said. Dr. S.Athithan, Vice-President of the Students’ Association administered the oath of office for the newly elected office bearers of the Students’ Association and welcomed the gathering. Mr. P. Sivaganesh took over as General Secretary, Mr. M.Tamilarasan as Games Secretary, G.Guruprasana as Literary Association Secretary, Mr. A.Kumarakannan as NSS Secretary, Ms. S.P.Madhumitha as Editor of Seagull Magazine, Ms. V.Subashini as Science Club Secretary and Mr. G.Vimal Kumar as Joint Secretary.

The installation ceremony was followed by colorful display of cultural programme by students.Mr. P. Sivaganesh, General Secretary, Students’ Association proposed vote of thanks.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் மாணவர் பேரவைத் துவக்க விழா

மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் 2018-19ம் ஆண்டுக்கான மாணவர் பேரவைத் துவக்க விழா அக்டோபர் 12ம் தேதி கல்லூரியின் கயல் கலையரங்கத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இவ்விழாவிற்கு தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட துணை காவல்துறை கண்காணிப்பாளர் திரு. சு. பிரகாஷ் அவர்கள் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்புரையாற்றினார். அவர் தனது உரையில் மாணவர்கள் தங்களது கல்லூரி காலங்களில் ஒழுக்கம் மற்றும் வாழ்க்கைக்கு தேவையான பண்புகள் மேம்படுத்துவது குறித்த முக்கியத்துவத்தை எடுத்துரைத்தார். முனைவர் கோ.சுகுமார், முதல்வர் மற்றும் தலைவர், மாணவர் சங்கம் அவர்கள் தலைமையேற்று, பொறுப்பேற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு வாழ்த்து தெரிவித்ததோடு, நிர்வாகத்தின் முழு ஆதரவு மாணவர்களுக்கு உண்டென்று உறுதியளித்தார். மேலும், மாணவர் தம் திறமைகளை புரிந்துக்கொண்டு தெளிவான குறிக்கோளோடு இச்சமுதாயத்திற்கு அவர்களது பங்களிப்பை கொடுக்க வேண்டுமென்று தம் உரையில் கூறினார். மாணவர் சங்கத்தின் துணைத் தலைவர் மற்றும் பேராசிரியர் முனைவர் சா.ஆதித்தன், அவர்கள் மாணவர் சங்க பிரதிநிதிகளுக்கு பதவிப்பிரமாணம் செய்து வைத்து வரவேற்புரை ஆற்றினார். செல்வன் சிவகணேஷ் பொதுச்செயலாளராகவும், செல்வன் தமிழரசன் விளையாட்டு செயலாளராகவும், செல்வி குருபிரசன்னா இலக்கிய மன்ற செயலாளராகவும்ரூபவ் செல்வன் குமாரகண்ணன் நாட்டு நலப்பணித்திட்ட செயலாளராகவும், செல்வி மதுமிதா கல்லூரியின் இதழ் ஆசிரியராகவும், செல்வி சுபாஷினி அறிவியல் மன்ற செயலாளராகவும் மற்றும் செல்வன் விமல் குமார் இணைச்செயலாளராகவும் பதவி ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர். அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து மாணவ-மாணவிகளின் கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடைபெற்றன. மாணவர் சங்கப் பொதுச் செயலாளர் செல்வன் சிவகணேஷ் நன்றியுரை வழங்கினார்.
