NABL Awareness program for Strengthening Industries through Lab Accreditation

A one day NABL Awareness program for “Strengthening Industries through Lab Accreditation “ was conducted by Quality Council of India at All India Chamber of Commerce & Industries (AICCI), Thoothukudi on 29.06.2024. The objective of the program is to reach out to laboratories to address concerns/ queries raised by laboratories regarding NABL accreditation. During this program, the participants were sensitized about the Accreditation Process , How to apply for NABL Accreditation through online portal, Product- based Accreditation, Quality Control Orders issued by the various Ministries, Products under QCOs, Product based accreditation & business opportunities for the laboratories. Special lectures were given on FSSAI regulations, Salt fortification, Quality standards for Fishery products and NABL Medical (Entry Level) Testing Labs. Six staff and six scholars from FCRI,Thoothukudi and two from other TNJFU constituent units participated. One lecture on “Encourage manufacturing & service sectors to upgrade their quality standards for Fishery products” was delivered by Dr. R. Shalini, Assistant Professor and Head i/c.
