Awareness Programme on Challenges of Drug Abuse CONDUCTED BY FISHERIES COLLEGE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE, THOOTHUKUDI - 628 008

As a part of anti drug awareness activity, Anti-Drug Committee of Fisheries College and Research Institute (FC&RI), Thoothukudi conducted an awareness program on “Prevention of drug abuse among the students” on 27.06.2024 among students.

A total of 120 students have participated in the programme. Dr.P.Sivasankar, Assistant Professor welcomed the gathering. Dr. B.Ahilan, Ph.D., Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi presided over the function and in his presidential address, he  emphasized the harmful effects and the risks associated with using alcohol and other drugs. He also stressed the importance of awareness campaigns about drug abuse among students. Th. A. Antony Arputharaj, Rajakanni Matha Liquor Exclusion Assembly, Thoothukudi district created an awareness on the ill-effects of drug and alcohol consumption in a comprehensive manner. Finally, all the students have taken pledge of Anti-drug abuse. Mr. S. Mariappan, Assistant Professor, DFTFE delivered vote of thanks.
