National Fish Farmers Day Celebration

As part of the National Fish Farmers Day Celebration, an awareness programme on expert field experience was organized for the students of various colleges on 10.07.2024 at the Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi. Mr. Harley Henry Davis, Owner of Davis Aqua farm, Keerainoor who has given a very useful and interactive session on Scope of fish farm and various techniques of fish farm for the success. Dr.N. Neethiselvan, Dean i/c of the Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi presided over the programmes. B.F.Sc. students of this institute, B.Sc. Zoology students of Kamaraj College and APC Mahalakshmi College, Thoohukudi and a shrimp farmer participated in the programmes. A total of 145 students and 1 farmer participated in the  programme. Dr. J. Jaculine Pereira, Assistant Professor, DAQ and Dr. A. Anix Vivek Santhiya, Assistant Professor, DAQ, Fisheries College and Research Institute co-ordinated the programme.
