Celebrated International Womens Day on 08.03.2025

Every year March 8 th is celebrated as International Women’s Day across the globe. Students’ Association of Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi celebrated International Women’s Day at Kayal Kalaiarangam on 8 th March 2025 based on the theme ‘Accelerate Action’. Various competitions were conducted as part of Women’s day Celebration such as Tamil and English Essay writing, Poem writing and Tamil Debate competition were conducted among the students. The Valedictory ceremony started by 04.00 PM with the Welcome Address delivered by Dr. V. Rani, Ph.D., Vice President(i/c) of Students’ Association, followed by a Tamil poem recited by B. Shabee Prisha III B.F.Sc and special Tamil Speech by B. Jaya Ranjini I B.F.Sc . Mrs. A. Swarnalatha B.E. MBA, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Thoothukudi graced the function as the Chief Guest and delivered her words of wisdom. Dr. N. Neethiselvan Dean(i/c), delivered the presidential address to the gathering. The prizes were distributed to the winners and other participants of various competitions. Mr. S.K. Meivendhan, General Secretary of Students’ Association concluded the function by delivering his vote of thanks.

சர்வதேச மகளிர் தின‌விழா, மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம், தூத்துக்குடி

ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் மார்ச் 8 ஆம் தேதி சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினம் உலகம் முழுவதும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் மாணவர் சங்கம், ‘துரிதமாக செயல்படு’ என்ற கருப்பொருளின் அடிப்படையில் சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினத்தைக் கொண்டாடியது. மகளிர் தின கொண்டாட்டத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கிலம் கட்டுரை எழுதுதல்‌, கவிதை எழுதுதல் மற்றும் தமிழ் விவாதப் போட்டி போன்ற பல்வேறு போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. மாலை 4 மணிக்கு தொடங்கிய‌ நிறைவு விழாவில் முனைவர் வே. ‌ராணி, மாணவர் சங்கத்தின் துணைத்தலைவர் (பொறுப்பு) வரவேற்புரை வழங்கினார். அதை தொடர்ந்து பு. சபி பிரிஷா, மூன்றாம் ஆண்டு மாணவி மகளிர் தினச் சிறப்புக் கவிதை வாசித்தார்‌ மற்றும் பெ. ஜெய ரஞ்சினி, முதலாம் ஆண்டு மாணவி தமிழுரை ஆற்றினார்.‌ திருமதி. A. சுவர்ணலதா பி.இ., எம்.பி.ஏ., பொது மேலாளர், மாவட்ட தொழில் மையம், தூத்துக்குடி சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்புரை வழங்கினார். கல்லூரி முதல்வர் (பொறுப்பு) முனைவர் நீ. நீதிசெல்வன் விழாவினை தலைமை தாங்கி தலைமையுரை வழங்கினார். போட்டிகளில் வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன‌. சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் அவர்களுக்கு நினைவு பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டது. மாணவர் சங்கத்தின் பொதுச் செயலாளர் செ.கு.மெய்வேந்தன் நன்றியுரை வழங்கி நிகழ்ச்சியை நிறைவு செய்தார்.
