Training program on "Freshwater ornamental fish culture" conducted on 28.03.2025 at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi-628 008

Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi organized a Training programme on "Freshwater ornamental fish culture" on 28.03.2025. This programme was organized by the Department of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics of this  institute. 

Training programs covered topics such as commercially important freshwater ornamental fishes, Breeding techniques of live bearers and egg layers, Water quality management and disease control in ornamental fish farms, Marketing, economics and entrepreneurship development in ornamental fish culture farms followed by a farm visit along with hands-on training on feeding, water quality management and packing of ornamental fishes. Dr.B.Ahilan, Dean, FC&RI, Thoothukudi delivered the presidential address and distributed the certificates to the trainees. In his address, he motivated the trainees to start up the entrepreneurial in ornamental fish culture business for earning profit. This program was organized by Dr.G.Arul Oli, Assistant Professor and Head i/c, and co- ordinated by Dr.B. Manikandan, Dr.V.Gomathy, and Ms.M.Geetha, Assistant Professors (C), Department of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics. A total of 13 trainees benefitted from the training programme. 

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் நன்னீர் அலங்கார மீன் வளர்ப்பு குறித்த ஒருநாள் பயிற்சியானது 28.03.2025 அன்று நடத்தப்பட்டது.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர். ஜெ.ஜெயலலில்தா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம், தூத்துக்குடியில் "நன்னீர் அலங்கார மீன் வளர்ப்பு' என்ற தலைப்பில் ஒருநாள் பயிற்சி வகுப்பானது 28.03.2025 அன்று நடத்தப்பட்டது. இந்நிகழ்வில் மொத்தம் 13 பயிற்சியாளர்கள் பங்கேற்று பயன்பெற்றனர். இப்பயிற்சி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின், மீன்வள விரிவாக்கம், பொருளியல் மற்றும் புள்ளியியல் துறையால் வழங்கப்பட்டது. 

இப்பயிற்சியில் நன்னீரில் வளர்க்கப்படும் பல்வேறு முக்கியமான அலங்கார மீன் இனங்கள், முட்டை மற்றும் குட்டி ஈனும் அலங்கார மீன் இனங்களின் இனப்பெருக்கம், நீர்தரக் கட்டுப்பாடு, நோய் மேலாண்மை மற்றும் பொருளாதாரம் குறித்த தொழில்நுட்பங்கள் செயல்முறை விளக்கங்களோடு வழங்கப்பட்டது. தூத்துக்குடி, மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் முதல்வர் முனைவர் ப.அகிலன் அவர்கள் தலைமையுரையில் பயிற்சியாளர்கள் நன்னீர் அலங்கார மீன் வளர்ப்பில் புதிதாக தொழில் துவங்கி நன்முறையில் லாபம் பெற்று பயனடைய வேண்டுமென்று பயிற்சியாளர்களை ஊக்குவித்தும் பங்கு பெற்றவர்களுக்கு சான்றிதழ்களை வழங்கி சிறப்பித்தார். 

இப்பயிற்சி முனைவர் கோ. அருள் ஓளி, உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் (பொ) அவர்களால் ஒருங்கிணைக்கப்பட்டு, முனைவர் பூ. மணிகண்டன், முனைவர் வெ.கோமதி மற்றும் செல்வி ம.கீதா, உதவிப் பேராசிரியர்களால் (ஓ) நடத்தப்பட்டது.
