Valedictory function of Naan Mudhalvan Finishing School Programme on "Boat Driver License Certificate Course" from 05.05.2025 to 12.05.2025

The Department of Fishing Technology and Fisheries Engineering (DFT&FE) of Fisheries College and Research Institute (FC&RI), a constituent unit of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University organized a one week on-campus training programme on “Boat Driver License Certificate Course” from 05.05.2025 to 12.05.2025 under Naan Mudhalvan Finishing School Programme with the funding support of Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, Chennai. The Valedictory function was held on 13.05.2025 at 10.00 a.m. at the Centre for Incubation and Vocational Training in Fisheries, Fishing Harbour campus, Thoothukudi.  Dr. T. Ravikumar, Assistant Professor and Programme Co-ordinator, DFT&FE, welcomed the gathering. Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi delivered the presidential address. In his presidential address, he spoke about the importance of the driving licence certificate course and the support provided by TNJFU for conducting of this course. Thirumathi N. Chandra, Joint Director, Department of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Thoothukudi, served as the Chief Guest. She appreciated the efforts of FC&RI and requested that similar training programmes be conducted for more fishermen during the fishing ban period. She also issued Boat Driving Licences to 20 fishermen who successfully completed the training programme. Mr. K. Janarthanam, Assistant Director, and Ms. Mary Vesna, Inspector of Fisheries, Department of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Thoothukudi, also graced the occasion and delivered their felicitation addresses. Mr. S. Mariappan, Assistant Professor, DFT&FE, delivered the vote of thanks. Er. A. Antony Michel Prabhakar, Assistant Engineer, served as the Master of Ceremonies for the programme.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஓர் அங்கமான மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் மீன்பிடித் தொழில் நுட்பவியல் மற்றும் மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் துறையானது, நான் முதல்வன் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் சென்னையில் அமைந்துள்ள தமிழ்நாடு திறன் மேம்பாட்டுக் கழக நிதியுதவியுடன் நடத்தும் “படகு ஓட்டுநர் உரிமச் சான்றிதழ் படிப்புப் பயிற்சி” என்ற ஒரு வாரகால உள்வளாகப் பயிற்சியானது 05.05.2025 முதல் 12.05.2025 வரை நடைபெற்றது. இதன் நிறைவு விழாவானது 13.05.2025 அன்று காலை 10.00 மணியளவில் தூத்துக்குடி மீன்பிடித் துறைமுக வளாகத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள மீன்வளத் தொழில் காப்பகம் மற்றும் தொழில்சார் பயிற்சி மையத்தில் வைத்து நடைபெற்றது. இப்பயிற்சியில் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்தைச் சார்ந்த 20 மீனவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். மேலும், பயிற்சித் திட்டத்தை வெற்றிகரமாக முடித்த அனைத்து மீனவர்களுக்கு, நிறைவு விழாவின் போது படகு ஓட்டுநர் உரிமம் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
மீன்பிடித் தொழில் நுட்பவியல் மற்றும் மீன்வளப் பொறியியல் துறையின் உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் பயிற்சித் திட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் முனைவர் த. ரவிக்குமார் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரையாற்றினார். நிறைவு விழாவிற்கு முனைவர் ப. அகிலன், முதல்வர். மீன்வளக்கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையம் அவர்கள் தலைமையேற்றார். தனது தலைமையுரையில், ஓட்டுநர் உரிமச் சான்றிதழ் திட்டத்தின் முக்கியத்துவம் மற்றும் இந்தப் பயிற்சித் திட்டத்தை நடத்துவதற்கு தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ. ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் பங்கு குறித்து அவர் பேசினார். இவ்விழாவில் திருமதி ந. சந்திரா, இணை இயக்குநர், தமிழ்நாடு மீன்வளம் மற்றும் மீனவர் நலத்துறை, தூத்துக்குடி அவர்கள் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டு மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தின் முயற்சிகளைப் பாராட்டிய அவர், மீன்பிடித் தடைக் காலத்தில் அதிகமான மீனவர்களுக்கு இதுபோன்ற பயிற்சித் திட்டங்கள் நடத்தப்பட வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுக் கொண்டார். திரு. க. ஜெனார்த்தனம், உதவி இயக்குநர், திருமதி. மேரி வெஸ்னா, மீன்வள ஆய்வாளர் தமிழ்நாடு மீன்வளம் மற்றும் மீனவர் நலத்துறை, தூத்துக்குடி அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினர். உதவிப் பேராசிரியர் திரு. ச. மாரியப்பன் அவர்கள் நன்றியுரை ஆற்றினார். திரு. அ.) அந்தோணி மைக்கேல் பிரபாகர், உதவிப் பொறியாளர் நிகழ்ச்சியைத் தொகுத்து வழங்கினார்.
