"Harnessing the Science of Fisheries for Food, Nutrition and Livelihood"
College of Fish Nutrition and Food Technology, Madhavaram, Chennai conducted webinar series on ‘Food Processing Technologies – Industry and Research Perspectives’ on 9 th , 10 th , 12 th , 13 th , 14 th and 15 th November, 2020 through online platform. The 6 days webinar series consisting 6 sessions covered a range of topics including Cereals and Millets, Ice cream and Frozen desserts, Beverages and Health drinks with focus on both the research and industry aspects. Around 145 participants from various institutes and organizations comprising students, research scholars, academicians and industry persons attended the webinar. The occasion was graced by Dr.G.Sugumar, Vice Chancellor, TNJFU, who inspired the participants through his words and offered his wishes for the successful conduct of the event. The sessions were presided by eminent speakers from the relevant field including Dr.P.Prabha Shankar, Senior Principal Scientist, CFTRI; Mr. Y.Prabakar, CEO, Anil Foods Ltd.; Mr.A. Manivvannan, Food Technology Consultant; Dr.D.Baskaran, Professor, TANUVAS; Dr.Laxmi Ananthanarayanan, Professor, ICT and Mr.K.Rajkumar, QC Head, Anil Foods Ltd.
