Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Between Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Tamil Nadu (TNJFU) and Bay of Bengal Programme-Intergovernmental Organization (BOBP-IGO)

Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bay of Bengal Programme Inter-Governmental Organization (BOBP-IGO), Chennai on 07.02.2022 at University Headquarters, Nagapattinam. Prof. J. Stephen Sampath Kumar, Director of Research i/c, TNJFU and Dr. P. Krishnan, Director, BOBG-IGO signed the MoU in the presence of Prof.G. Sugumar, Vice-Chancellor, TNJFU. Dr. S.Srinivasan, Registrar i/c, Dr.M.Rajakumar, Director of Extension Education, Dr.P.Jawahar, Controller of Examinations and Th.V.S.Anbarasu, Finance Officer, TNJFU, Nagapattinam were also present during this occasion. Prof.G.Sugumar, Vice-Chancellor, TNJFU, in his address, highlighted the importance of this MoU and stressed the need to practically make use of the MoU in the lines of exchanging scientific materials, publications and information, within the overall institutional governance frameworks. Dr. P.Krishnan, Director, BOBG-IGO gave an overview of the regional significance of BOBG-IGO and stated that the MoU is a welcome step for collaboration with State University to have mutual benefits through faculty exchange and can take up joint research programmes. He also indicated the possibilities for network projects.
