The event for the distribution of the 21 st installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi to farmers and inauguration of the South India Natural Farming Summit was live telecasted on 19 th November 2025 at Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam. During the event, the Honorable Prime Minister transferred the 21st installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi to the farmers, followed by a video address explaining the key government schemes for farmers.
The event saw participation of 162 male fish farmers, 220 women involved in aquaculture, and 120 students from the College of Fisheries Engineering in Nagapattinam. Additionally, 15 numbers of scientists from the KVK, ATMA officials, and university staff also participated in the event. Before the start of the event, from 11:00 AM, a video session was conducted to showcase various aquaculture and fish processing techniques to the farmers. At the end of the program, to emphasize the importance of aquaculture in organic farming, 20 fish farmers were presented with Pacu fish seedlings by Dr. N. Felix, Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University.
At the beginning of the event, Dr. A. Gopalakannan, Director of Extension Education i/c., explained the purpose of the event. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. V. Senthilkumar, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Sikkal, Nagapattinam.
