Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sikkal the constituent unit of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2019 at the Training Hall, KVK. Dr. K. Chandrasekar, SMS (Agri. Entomology) welcomed the gathering. Programme Coordinator Dr. A. Gopalakannan presided over the meeting and delivered the importance of celebrating this day in our country. He also insisted on the achievements made and development of women in various fields of Science. Mrs. Sarojini, Assistant Director (Agriculture) was the chief guest of the programme. Musical chair competition and Memory games were conducted and prices were distributed to the winners. Mr. E. Hino Fernando, SMS (Fisheries Extension) delivered vote of thanks. Dr. S. Muthukumar, SMS (Animal Husbandry) coordinated the entire programme. All staff of KVK participated in the programme. உலக மகளிர் தின விழா நாகப்பட்டினம், சிக்கல், வேளாண்மை அறிவியல் நிலையத்தில் 08.03.2019 (வெள்ளிக்கிழமை) அன்று உலக மகளிர் தினவிழா கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. இந்நிகழ்ச்சியினை கீழ்வேளுர் வட்டார வேளாண்மை உதவி இயக்குனர் திருமதி. சரோஜினி அவர்கள் தலைமை தாங்கி சிறப்புரை நிகழ்த்தினார். மேலும், வேளாண் அறிவியல் நிலையத்தின் திட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் முனைவர் அ. கோபாலக்கண்ணன், அவர்கள் தலைமை ஏற்று நடத்தினார், பொறுப்பு அலுவலர் திரு. நா. சம்பத்குமார் அவர்கள் வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார். மகளிர் தின விழாவில் சிறப்பு அம்சமாக நிலையத்தில் பணிபுரியும் 30 க்கு மேற்பட்ட மகளிர்களுக்கு இசை நாற்காலி, நினைவுத் திறன் ஆகிய போட்டிகள் நடைபெற்று பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டது. முன்னதாக தொழில் நுட்ப வல்லுனர்கள் முனைவர் கோ. சந்திரசேகர் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரை வழங்கியும், மருத்துவர். முத்துக்குமார் அவர்கள் தொகுத்தும் திரு. ஹினோ பர்னான்டோ அவர்கள் நன்றி கூறியும் விழாவினை நிறைவு செய்தனர்.
