Infrastructure created in the Centres are largely and primarily used for the experiential learning of the BFSc students. During the past two years, the final year students of FCRI, Thoothukudi and Dr MGR FCRI, Ponneri were deputed for their one semester long experiential learning and hands-on training in the breeding and rearing of carps, tilapia, shrimps, marine finfishes, ornamental fishes, cage farming of fishes in freshwater and open sea, live feed culture, feed development and feeding, disease diagnosis and treatment, interaction with farmers, studying the socio economic aspects in fish farming, etc. This one semester exposure in the Centres gave them holistic knowledge in all aspects of aquaculture. The staff in the Centres devoted their whole time during experiential learning without time boundaries. The feedback from the students can vouch the usefulness of the Centres'and their infrastructure.

In addition to the experiential learning, students visit programmes from this University and also other nearby schools and colleges are facilitated in the Centers for their learning. The nearby colleges and other Universities have been encouraged to visit the facilities and process for the collaboration and training.
