Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chennai Campus signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 24, 2024, at TNJFU Nagapattinam. The MoU aims to foster collaboration through research projects and academic programs. Its primary objective is to enhance interaction and cooperation between the faculty, staff, and students of both universities by facilitating joint academic and research programs, co-supervision of doctoral and master's students, and mutual visits and faculty exchange programs.

The Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalaithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) signed a MoU with the ICAR-Central Island Agriculture Research Institute (CIARI), Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 23.10.2018 at CIARI campus by the Director of Research, Prof. G. Jeyasekaran for TNJFU, and the Director, Dr. A. Kundu for CIARI in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S. Felix, and Heads of Divisions, Dr. Jai Sunder, and Scientists of Fisheries Division of CIARI. The ICAR-CIARI has been doing research works for the island farmers to provide decent livelihood through technological intervention.
